0DTE Vultures and Biotech Bloodbaths: 6/26/26 Market Pulse
Market Pulse: 6/26/26
The tape is ugly. $SPY is flat-lining at 735, but $QQQ is bleeding out, down 0.41% while the VIX spikes 1.54%. The street is scared, but for the 0DTE crowd, fear equals liquidity. If you aren't playing the gamma, you're the exit liquidity for the market makers.
The Data Snapshot
| Ticker | Price | Change | Volume | RVol |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $ON | 94.14 | -20.71% | 17.6M | 1.51 |
| $MRNA | 68.03 | +13.87% | 6.5M | 0.92 |
| $ACAD | 26.97 | +13.69% | 2.3M | 1.43 |
| $SLS | 11.92 | +13.20% | 7.3M | 0.96 |
$ON: The $7 Billion Dumpster Fire
$ON is getting nuked, down 20% on the Synaptics news. This is a classic "don't catch a falling knife" scenario. The market hates the deal dilution, and institutional shorts are piling on. With RVol at 1.51, the volume is institutional exhaustion. I'm staying clear of the equity, but watching for a dead cat bounce to fade into the close.
Biotech Frenzy: $MRNA, $ACAD, and $SLS
Biotech is the only place to hide from the tech rot. $MRNA is flying on FDA optimism. When the broad market hits resistance, MRNA's relative strength is where the retail rotation lands. $SLS is the real story, though. High short interest + buyout chatter = a ticking time bomb for the shorts. If this breaks $12, a forced cover squeeze could launch this into the high teens by tomorrow morning. $ACAD is trailing the momentum, but the technical breakout looks clean for a scalp.
The Daily Play
- Ignore the $ON noise. Itโs a liquidity trap.
- Watch $SLS for a squeeze. If it stays above the breakout level, go long on 0DTE calls if youโre a masochist or wait for the hourly consolidation.
- Keep $QQQ puts on deck. If the VIX holds above 19, that QQQ support level is going to snap like a twig.
